Stat crunching DS game?

I'm looking for some nice stat heavy DS games. Ones with loads of equipment to customize, that all does different things, like the mechwarrior ones, though it wouldn't have to be a mech game.
I just love getting into all the details, picking out what's perfect for me. Are there any games like that?

castlevania games are good with lots of custimisation, dunno about stat crunching though... maybe the rpgs such as ff3/4 and chrono trigger?

I've heard Final Fantasy Tactics A2 has a ridiculous amount of character/equipment management. In fact, I've seen it criticised for having too much!

I've not tried any of the castlevania games, guess I'll have a look into that. Already got and loved FFTA2.

Has to be etrian odyssey, you even have to draw the map.

Actually for pure stats and SRPG mayhem if you like FF:T then get Disgaea , its virtually never ending.

Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow is epic. Not really a stat type game, but marvellous anyway.

Picked up Etrian Odyssey, and damn, its hard! Characters fall like flies, meant I had to spend a while near the dungeon entrance so I could heal up ad get back.

However, seems like a fantastic game so far, love all the character customization (And there's a ton of skills too!), so thanks for the recommendation. I'll probably look into Disgaea and Castlevania as well soon.

ah fantastic. yes maybe I should have said its pretty hardcore. Infact a long with disgaea they are about as hardcore as you can get.
