Hi all

I have a quick question. Doing a spybot S&D search reveals "statcounter". Now when searching it always seems to show this same result, I mean i click fix and then do a search a few days later and its there again!

I consider my pc to be safe and I'm careful with what I download and what sites I visit.

so... is there a way of manually blocking the website for this or shall I let s&d work its magic

disable system restore first, then do a spybot scan..

also, try adaware

always a good partner to use alongside spybot

edit, also use this tool..

installs like a blocklist to spyware related things to prevent them from installing, all these tools are free

statcounter cookie by any chance?

Nothing to worry about if it is.

I am a fan of the ocUK forums but don't post that much, i have ad-aware and spyware blaster already aswell as Avast (great bits of kit).

yeah it is a cookie so you say theres nothing to worry about.
