State pensions question.

Hi,

My mother is thinking about leaving the country after she retires. I just wanted to know if she does "emmigrate" after retirement will she still be entitled to a state pension from this country?

In short, yes. however the rules differ depending on whether she moves to somewhere within the EU or not.

The link you posted suggests that after making contributions in the uk, a person can indeed receive a state pension, should he/she decide to retire abroad.

I can just imagine an old guy with a walking stick waving it around demanding his pension
