Reasontly when swiching on my PC i am getting a heavy static shock from the power switch . I hav`nt touched anything for months , and all is wired ok . There is no known static discharge anywere in the house(no dodgy carpets or the likes), It`s only hapeened the last 4 or 5 times i have switched on the pc , and all fires up ok . just seems strange .....

Any ideas:confused:

I know this is going to sound silly but......

Do you get a static charge if you touch anything that is metal and i dont mean the PC?

If so then it might be you, we all carry a certain amount of static energy in our body
and sometimes walking on certain floors and stuff makes that static energy build up so
when something is touched it just discharges though the mental component that you
touch.

Easy way to test it is next time it does it, touch the power button again, if it doesn't do
it that im 95% sure that it will be you.
