hi
can someone give me a guide that shows how to set up a static ip address in vista as i need it to to open the port for utorrent. ive tried the guide that utorrent links to but cant get it working.the router is a dlink 624+ and im with virgin media

thats the guide. followed it but after i enter the dns address,default gateway etc it wont connect to the internet

im new to this so dont really understand it that much.
at the moment if i leave the setttings on automatic for both my internet works. as soon as i follow the guide it does not. what im trying to do is to setup the port for utorrent as my speeds are not as good as they were when i had it setup in xp

now how would i know what my static ip is so that i can enter that into my router for the settings for utorrent

is that the static ip address as im following the guide below and when i try entering that it says invalid ip

also now whenever i do a search from the address bar it hoes through open dns how do i get rid of this
