hi

want to setup and remote into a hikvision IP camera at my dads house

i have virgin and a static ip so its easy, talk talk does not have a static ip
what do i have to do to achieve the same result so i can permanently remote in?

Set up no-ip or dyndns, this will give you an address like..

myserver.no-ip.org

If your IP changes, your router (if it supports it) can update the DNS entry

as about dynamic dns / no ip. some routers have the function for you to enter the details in to.
