Static Pressure vs Airflow

I am sure you this question asked a lot


I understand that statistic pressure fans are used for items such as radiators and cpu coolers.


However what would you use for a case that has a grill to push through or a case with a filter to pull through?

There is still a lot I don't know about building PCs

The question came about after a discussion with a friend of mine and I was unable to answere his question. Specificall the exhaust fan on my case. With the fan in from of may face (not in tyhe case) I could feels a good flow of air but once installed in the case behind a grill I noticed how much it had dropped.

Looking at the photo of the two fans I assume the top one is a Static Pressure and the lower one Air Flow
