Hey guys,

I have a question about static pressure. Basically I am aware it is great for fans when cooling radiators but does that only apply for push configured fans?

If I for example have a pull configured fan would I then not need to worry about static pressure or will it still apply on a lesser degree or what?

I don't know, but surely the amount of air the fan pushes, it has to suck the same amount?

the only time it matters less is when using push pull, if you try to pick your pc case up does it take more less or the same effort depending on if you pick it up from the left hand side or the right hand side? however if you have a mate to help and you each grab a side each of you have to do less

Static pressure is best for trying to push or pull air through something (I.E a radiator).

Airflow is best for simply moving air from one place to another (I.E the inside/outside of the case).

Thanks for the info, I feel like a dunce now that common sense has been shown!

I woulda bought some Scythe GT for my pull fan but I purchased a corsair high pressure...

I hope its almost as good!

Thanks again guys!

The Corsair SP fans are very good tbh. I should know, I have 2 on a rad.

Surely it was more work to explain it that way?:D
