Static shocks because of wireless controller?

Sounds daft but my wife and I have noticed a large increase of static shocks since I've had my X360!

We're wondering if this could be due to the wireless controller? Only a moment ago my wife put the controller down after a game of hexic. She went into our bedroom and got zapped when she turned the light on! Bearing in mind we have chrome covers for our light switches, so it's not the wiring :p

Also, never used to get these shocks when we used my old xbox.

So you've checked that your chrome covers are definitely earthed properly then?

I suppose they must be if the wife's potential difference was discharged when she touched the chrome cover. ;)

Yeah, they're fine. It's just perhaps and odd coincidence that this has started happening. She got two right quick as well, which was funny :)
