Hi all, Looking for some help with an issue i have just started happening.
Last week i upgraded my GPU from a 2060 Super to a 3070TI and since then i've been having intermittent trouble with static through my headset. Ive tried lots of so called fixed, Change the Audio Codex to 16bit, Changed power supply cables to the GPU, Tried several USB power connectors for my Dac, Swapping back to my old GPU which is now doing the same.
I think i have narrowed the issue down to the first PCIE slot on my motherboard as been the culprit, If i move the gpu down to the 2nd slot all the static goes away. The strange thing is tho i run all my audio through a creative X4 Dac which i was lead to believe should get rid of any static noise from the PC.
I'm happy ish using the GPU in the 2nd PCIE slot, I have asked on the GPU forum on here and that it shouldnt impact perfomance. Its just annoying that this is the case now.
ROG Strix B550-E Motherboard
AMD 5600x CPU
Asus Tuf 3070ti GPU
32BG g-skill ram DDR4
EVGA supernova 750 G2
Corsair 5000D air flow.
If anyone has any ideas or solutions that would be great thanks.
