Hi there

IVe installed ubuntu on my laptop as windows will no longer install (asks for the cd to be inserted all the time when ive tried many) anyway ive got fah installed as per the sticky not as a service though and its started. :D

i woulda thought the status of the unit would be shown in the terminal where i installed it but it isnt? is there any command i can type to call up what percentage the current wu is at? or is there a file where I can see this? :)

thanks

Just have a look at unitinfo.txt in the Folding directory. FahMon can apparently be run on Linux so you could look into that but I don't know anything about it myself. If you want to view the status by command, enter 'less unitinfo.txt' while in the Folding directory (press q to exit).

Hope this helps, null :)

thanks

I'll just look at the unitinfo.txt file, shows all thats needed

cheers

from synaptic install boinc-manager

You can pause projects and many more things :)
Good suggestion, but unfortunately fah isn't a boinc project, its entirely separate. :)

If you installed with the finstall script as reccomended in the sticky, change to the foldingathome directory and run
./folding status dirs
to go on a tour of all running WUs. :)

FahMon is easy to install under Ubuntu.

The instructions are pretty easy to follow and there are no major hurdles. You do need to down load some packages, but synaptic makes that easy :)
