I currently have 21CN with Zen connecting at around 20meg but I just noticed my exchange has recently been enabled for sky / easynet LLU.

Are there any benefits from changing? Zen has a download limit of 100gb and from what I can tell sky is unlimited but would I be forced to use their router? I don't really want to have to ditch my billion router.

Any help / info is very much appreciated.

I don't know about the ADSL2+ services, but Sky's FTTC offering requires you to use their router. There are ways around it - whether they are worth the hassle is a matter of opinion.

A couple other things to note. Yes, Sky's offering is unlimited but they have recently admitted that they have signed up too many users for their network's ability to cope. Not good. Furthermore, if you choose to leave Sky once your contract ends, they do something to the line such that your are forced to pay a connection fee to your next provider. he same applies to TalkTalk. If your landline is with BT or someone like Plus Net or O2, this is not an issue.

Is Zen's limit on-peak or any time?

Sky. No need to use their router.

Which Billion router do you have? It may already be compatible.

It's not that Sky's network can't cope its the exchange equipment that's becoming congested and it only applies in certain exchanges too. Sky are good to admit it and work to fix it. Virgin just deny it exists.
