hey all, im in love with dagger/bow type of games, now, ive played oblivion well over the amount i should have lol, i had a archer/dagger stealth person and LOVED it.

but now im looking for a new game where i can be all that but in a RPG, graphics are a prference, decently high graphics.

ummmm, storyline isnt to much of a issue, as long as its not a Linage 2 repeat (go kill 100 mobs to get 5 items and then repeat... or just go grind for months on end)

has to be grim, no fluffy bunny business.

Oh! also, a major point in it is that it would be a major bonus if it was set in historical times, such as the 1800's, cloack and dagger styleeeeee.

hmmm, help pls!

Have you tried any of the Thief games? I guess they're probably all a little old given your graphics preference...but they're meant to be pretty rocking.

Not quite RPGs though, I guess.

Maybe try Gothic 3 (latest patch so it's not quite so hideously buggy) or Morrowind with some graphics upgrade mods?

I guess G3 won't be stealthy enough either... hmm..lol, it's a difficult one ;)
 
aye, a tad difficult, i was thinking thief, ive played them and it was more storyline based.

got all the morrowind games next to me, was ok, but simply stealth wasnt really granted a major skill in that game i thought. (loved it back in its day though)

as you said, gothic 3 might be a god idea, and if the combat bugs are out, then even more of a thought might be put towards it, only as you said, its not really all that grim and based on stealth. just hero **** lol..

Kind of also not really in the spec, but System Shock 2 and DeusEx have kind-of stealthy stuff and are amazing fps games with rpg elements.

I guess I'm just really in a mood for those games atm :p
 
not played SS2 and deus ex 1/2 are beside me and i play them when bored :D

but yea, historical rpg with cloak and dagger rpg game would be the highlight of my year if i found on. but seems like one hasnt been released.

BUT, this has JUST come to mind whilst writeing this, there is that game for the ps3...... jesus, i just googled for the last 20 mins and cant find what its called. its basically some type of dagger looking game.

but yea, anyway, this is a serious tough one

Play World of Warcraft and create a Rogue. I believe they are Dagger and stealth orientated class. Can equip a bow too for your archery needs.

over a year in that game lol

have a 70 undead rogue with some decent TBC gear on, and 2 other lvl 70 classes.

not really what im looking for lol

Thief mixed in with assasins creed along side a bit of TES freedom all together is what my dream game would be.

Neverwinter Nights 2?

I've only touched upon the OC, but you could play as a thief. And with NWN1, there were loads of good Thief specific modules, hopefully NWN2 will provide the same goods.
 
Dark Messiah is probably the newest. You can play archer/dagger guy, sneak around and stab people in the neck... makes a yummy chunching sound as their spine breaks!

Pretty good game also.
