Steam & a different PC

Hi there,

I didn't want to start another thread really but no-one has answered in my other thread about this problem.

Basicly i'm going to be fitting a new mobo and then doing a format in the next 2 days & i'm just wondering if steam is going to kick up a fuss and not allow me to download my games again due to the new OS and mobo...

If anyone can shed some light on this it would be great.

It'll be fine mate, your account, it's not locked to your hardware in anyway

That's what I needed to hear. I heard different back along.

There wont be any problem ... can you not just back up your files and then transfer them saving you all the d/loads again ? I did this only last week ... changed from one computer to another and different versions of windows ie. XP Pro to Vista Ultimate 32bit without a hitch.

Don't mind d/ling them again (like watching them come down at 1.5MB/S) just wanted to make sure that Steam will allow me to download them again to a new O/S and differnet hardware
