Steam account issue

why I am repeatedly getting steam guard codes sent to me from Steam? It seems like people are trying to access my steam account almost every other day.

Is there any way to stop this? Steam have all my card details and stuff on file.

if you're getting steam guard codes, means that they know your password already?

Sounds like someone has your password and is trying to access it. If you are concerned, change your password and remove your card details from Steam.

You have a securty issue on your side. Run a full virus scan, change your password for Steam and the email account linked to Steam.

Change not just the password but the login username if possible, it should be.

If you still get them then i guess reinstall windows time.

I would delete that card info from steam at least until you get it sorted.

I use the Steam app on my phone find it better than the emails.

I’d change all your details on a different device, like your phone.

New email
Steam email to new email
Steam password
Email password
Email security questions

Steam Guard is doing it's job.. I had mine hacked a few years back and it was a pain to get the account back.

Make sure you have written down the licence codes for at least 3 games.. In the event of a hack, it makes claiming back your account much easier.

I would also ensure that the email account tied to the account is also secured by 2FA.
