Hi guys

I just logged into my steam account and went to game details. Surprisingly the whole games list has changed!!:(

I don't see a lot of games such as crysis etc which I bought couple of months ago.

What has happened?:(

Ok when I click on my profile and click on 'view all my games', the list is there. However when I click on View, game details, it gives a list of completely different games:confused:

Yesterday I clicked on steam calculator just to see what it is about and typed in my steam id but it cam with nothing.

On my profile it says ' summer camp sale' with achievements earned and prizes won.

You were probably using the 'filter' to show the list of games you'd played recently, or ones you had installed. Not 'all games'.

I hope you have Steam Guard turned on. I wonder how much account theft has reduced since they introduced it.

yeah my account is protected by steam guard:)

So it's not possible to hack steam guard?

Depends how lax you are with passwords and stuff

All it does is send an email to a nominated address before it lets the password be changed etc.

If you're lax with security and your email password is the same and they then log into that too with the password they've got for Steam via whatever means, then it will do nothing to stop them.

That's not all, you have to authorise every single PC you activate your account on :)

You get the unique key each time you try to install it on a new PC but Steam requests authorisation when you update the key components too.

is steam guard on by default ? I can;t remember ever turning it on. ALthough I haven't used a different PC to access steam from other than my main rig so maybe thats why I haven't noticed ?

I think so.

In either case just go to 'view', then 'settings'. There you will see whether it's on or not.

It's on by default, but only if you've already validated your email address. There's some stuff in the Steam FAQ for checking it / turning it on and off etc if your not sure.
