Steam achievements.

It's a shame there isn't any easy way to compare your total achievements on steam against your mates.

I love the way the PS3 does it with their ranking system.

Maybe steam should do the same thing?
 
The achievements on steam can't and shouldn't really be compared, just like on PS3 it's pointless, there is no value per achievement/trophy so a friend who loads up 100 games and gets the trophy for pressing start will have the same level as someone who gets 100 legitimate trophies,

If only there was a service that added a point value to the achievements so you could tell with a single score who had put in the most effort...
 
I don't care about them, compare each others skill one vs one and you're on.

I do seem to get no satisfaction whatsoever achieving one on steam compared to achieving them on my 360

Yeah, me too. It's because they don't arrive with any big fanfare and as has been said, there's no easy way to catalogue them all or compare with friends.
 
I don't care about Steam Achievements as much as my 360 ones, however they do offer some extra challenges so I go back to games.

Just this weekend I went back and replayed HL2 Ep1 to get the achievements they've added, mainly the 'One Free Bullet' achievement, that was fun to do, and not something I would have done normally.

would be nice if steam achievements had more features, I like them more as a timeline for gaming, its nice to view my 360 achievements and remember the good times :)

edit: not that steam doesn't do this but its not as user friendly
