Steam ames not installed?

Hi guys,

I've just opened up Steam and none of my games are installed. It looks like I'm going to have to reinstall everything! Anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions? Bearing in mind that I've made no changes since the last time I loaded Steam and played some games ...

Are the game files still in your steamapps folder?

Er... unless someone intentionally deleted them they should be installed. I'd also check recycle bin and question anyone else with access tbh.

There's a whole load of GCF and NCF files in the Steamapps folder of varying dates. I've just started downloading Mafia and CSS and can see they now have GCF files with todays date. Others such as Portal also have a large GCF file dating just after Xmas, but it's not listed as installed in Steam :/

No-ones had access to my PC ... unless it's recovered and rolled back from an error without asking me?

Hmmm .... nothing in my recycle bin that I don't know about either ...
