Id like to go ahead and buy mass effect 1 and 2 from steam but i was wondering if you can get all the DLC for both games on steam or is it exclusive to EA's platform Origin ?

According to some googling you can buy the DLC from Origin and get it to work with the Steam versions. Didn't look too much into so not sure how accurate it is.

The DLC is a bit of a pain in the behind to aquire, you have to make 2 accounts IIRC with BioWare and then purchase BioWare points to be redeemed against the DLC) - tho they may have realised it was stupidly setup since I purchased it and made it simpler.

Kind of stupid that you cant simply pay for it with normal money :/

Yeah I'm sure its very very hard to implement a simple button to click purchase with paypal and then download :S

Once you've got the DLC over onto your cerberus account or whatever it works fine with the steam versions of the game tho.

thanks for the info ^^

I'm still hoping they're going to release a Mass Effect 2 Ultimate Edition with all the DLC together on Steam with the game. *fingers crossed* But those pesky <insert suitable disparaging word here> at EA will make it Origin exclusive I bet.
