Steam and others - moving the game folder to another hard drive

I want to move my Steam folder from one drive to another; is it easier just to delete it and re-download the games? If I do that will I lose saved games?

or can I just copy and paste the folder?

You can change the game installation folder in the menu, it will move it for you (although you might need to uninstall and reinstall the actual application itself, not sure)

Should have googled first! There’s an option to move games, so I’m doing that in Steam. I’ll check others as well
