Steam Backup

I will be reinstalling windows and can someone please confirm if I would need to backup my steam drive.

My steam drive & Dirt Rally are both installed on a separate SSD to my main OS.

If I reinstall w10 will steam still work OK or do I need to reinstall steam too?

I normally just copy over the game files and install Steam on fresh Windows reinstall, then paste the files over where they are suppose to be and when you install the games from Steam all it does is verify them instead of downloading them.

This is documented on the Steam support site here. Just delete everything except the steam.exe and the steamapps subfolder and then run the exe on your new install to reinitialise. I would backup what you delete first just in case.
