Steam/Burnout Paradise Problem

Hey,

Both my dad and I purchased Burnout Paradise during the Steam christmas sale and all was well.

Sadly every time we launch the game now it insists that our CD keys are NOT valid and closes the game which is a bit of a problem....

Can anyone else run their copy of Burnout Paradise (especially if you bought it at Christmas 2010)?

Also would it be better to contact Steam or EA for some troubleshooting? Both of their sites are less than helpful and I've not really got time to soft through the forums for a solution

Not that it's much help but just checked out the game over Steam which I also bought in the xmas sale.

No issues

I would first try contacting steam, EA provide the CD keys for steam to sell on.
They may need to provide you with a new key if the error was on their end.

Please could you elaborate on EXACTLY what happens.

The game loads up, displays all it's usual logo's and drops you into the front screen. Pressing enter starts the game (with a screen of info about the autosave

) and then prompts you to login to your EA account.

Login and hit go and it brings up the following screen:

After that there is only one option which bombs out to desktop faster than a BSOD

Yep - forst thing I did on both machines

Also tried different password in case it was that but it failed as expected
