I got multiple questions here and I am not sure how to ask them.
I hope you can answer my thoughts then please?
Firstly, I have been building up my Steam collection as of late, mostly filling with anything really, but I have been doing as much Linux compatible games as I can, so that I have a nice little Linux collection for my Laptop.
Now, what I have tried to do, in order to limit the amount of actual downloading I have had to do, is download them onto my PC ( Windows ) and then copy the steam files over to the Laptop. ( I have done this with both my Windows and Linux Laptops )
Of course, with the Windows Laptop, the games have simply worked and thats been fine, but this has not always been the case with the Linux games.
Or at least, the Linux ones have needed to also import Linux compatible data, such as the actual program itself but of course game data etc will quite probably be the same.
This then leaves the Steam folders in Linux, full of Windows files that are not needed.
Is there any way to clear those files out
In Windows, is there any way to that too, for any possible rogue files that I no longer need?
I had thoguht about doing that backup thing, and simply killing off my entire Steam folder ( now close to 6 years old 835MB in size and has been moved from PC to PC ) so its bound to have loads of junk in there.
But also as you see, at almost a gig in size, its not a simple task to even use Steam to fully update since you can only do one Prog at a time.
Ok, so, any thoughts on whatever the hall I am thinkong about will be gratefully received and listened to.
Thsnk you.
