Steam Client being released for Linux o_O

Do many games run 'simply' in Linux nowwadays? I've not looked at gaming on Linux for years, used to be a pig's ear to run anything iirc.

A few, there are a handful of open source games in the repos based on the old Quake engines that are quite good, if you like fast paced things. More than enough to keep the casual gamer happy...

Look into Warsow (great cell shading) and Nexuiz, both great time fillers.
