Steam constantly asking for security password after a reboot

driving me a little crazy recently re-installed windows 7, now everytime i try to start steam i have to enter the security code which gets sent to my e-mail. Anyone have any idea why it keeps asking as it never used to on my old windows 7 install and it's getting rather annoying..

I take it you've missed every thread about steamguard in the last few months then?

Well personally i had zero problems on my old install hence why i came here to ask . Seems you just get sarcastic comments tho .

It should not be asking everytime you boot it up mate.

My understanding is that it should only ask if you log in from another I.P.

I can only advise sending them a support message.

After you re-installed Windows. Did you install Steam afresh, or just copy the folder over?

No i started afresh wanted it to be a total clean install and to also witter out all the carp i've gathered over the last few months.

This happened to me, bigjimmyauk. After a few times it stopped and all has been fine since.
