Hi Guys,

I have been experiencing this very annoying problem where, when I start playing a round of COD AW MP, after a couple of minutes, the game freezes and I ALT-TAB out to see that steam is unresponsive but after a minute or so, the game is responsive again but I have been booted out of the lobby saying, connection to host lost. See the screenshot:

I have tired many things, but none of them seem to work.

I game on Gigabyte P35W 870M 6GB, GFX drivers are up to date. I am currently using windows 8.1

Please help me in a solution for this crash

What does it say about your NAT status on the menu screen? Might be an issue with that.

NAT is open. It says on the bottom on game menu.

FYI BF4 runs perfectly fine on high settings so does any other game that doesnt use steam. My guess is that there is something wrong with Steam but than again I also play TF2 and that runs fine all the time.

You've timed out with the host due to your laptop brain freezing.

Try with low settings, and v-sync limited. Should cool it down a bit. Check stability.

Check your temps on your GPU and CPU.

Also run in windowed mode. You can get crash and recovery display drivers, and these tend to mess up games quite badly, especially in full screen.

Could also just be the game being unstable, and nothing to do with your setup. Could be an issue with the game and your specific GPU (driver related).

I have 8GB RAM.

I am going to try what Olivier is saying. I dont think it is a temp issue because I run BF4 and Far Cry 4 and they easily reach 86C and run smoothly.

Will report back after I get off from work.

But BF4 wasn't a bad port of a console game, an with AW being a new title of the so called next gen requirements it will take a hit in different places.

Like bf4 if i remember right used to hammer the Cpu where as from what ive read AW hammers the Gpu more.
