Steam seems to have started crashing my pc while downloading a game and after a recent update
Just bought GA IV and left it downloading and after a while I went back to my pc and it had a blue screen. I rebooted my pc and carried on downloading with no problem and I had a play of it afterwards.
Later I left it downloading the Liberty City add on, did the same and went back to it and there was a blank screen with a box saying something like "asroutinecontroller.exe has stopped working.
I tried to crtl-alt-del but task manager would not appear and I had to manually shut down my pc.
Then I thought I would do a system restore, but all the restore points had been wiped, I have tried a couple of more time and it is all right for a few minutes then crashes again.
I do not have any problem while playing games etc, only when I try to download with Steam, so it seems to have got corrupted and is messing other things up as well.
I have read that you can delete certain files and Steam will reinstall itself, do you think that would cure the problem
Any Ideas
Thanks
