I have a Steamdeck 256GB model with 512GB SDCard.
I noticed a huge chunk of 'other' data in use so decided to have a cleanup and uninstalled all Steam games, ran shader cache killer and removed compdata for uninstalled games.

There's somehow still 61GB in my 'other' folder. The only things I have installed is Steam Linux runtimes and Proton experimental. All other software is on my SDcard so guess its dumping everything related to it on my Deck.

Anyone have any ideas whats in /HOME/DECK/.LOCAL/SHARE/STEAM before I just format it!

All shader cache files are on the internal drive, no matter where the software is installed. So if you have games on the SD card, the cache is still internal.

Cryoutilities can change this setting to store the cache with the game on the SD if you want to.

Apparently the cache can be directed to the SD card too with symbolic links - which is probably what Cryoutilities does for you.

I decided to factory reset my device the other day, which took the 'other' to around 3GB. After installing a few games its now back to 40GB :D I expect it'll mainly be Proton, Protontricks and WINE stuff
I do have Decky storage cleaner plugin installed which shows shader cache is 244MB and compatibility data is 2.64GB.

Are well, either might buy a 2TB internal SSD or just factory reset again to keep things clean
