Going to http://store.steampowered.com/ or the store homepage in the steam client will show what I mean.
It should not bother me, but it does and it seems an odd decision by Valve.
Are doing it to increase sales to "new" customers who are there because of the more popular games?
Yes, it is only one click to view new releases but as a personal preference, I look at new releases first and new releases now and then out of curiosity.
My initial thoughts are that this does not help the smaller releases as they rely on that initial brief moment on the homepage to increase awareness.
