Steam DLC not working in game

I bought the expansion for Shogun 2 a few months back. I went to play it last night and the option to start rise of samurai is faded out. I checked my DLC content folder in the game tab and it says that i have purchased the content. Does anyone have any ideas of how to get this working?

I have reinstalled and patched the game. Removed DarthMod etc. I did send steam an email but guess i could be waiting a little longer.

Right click on the game, properties, local files tab, click 'verify integrity of game cache'.

I've had a couple of problems with DLC in the past and this has worked for me each time.
