I Know when Valve first introduced steam people were quick to slate it, and say its resource hungry and rubbish etc. But personally i never had a problem with it.

My view on it now, is that its a fantastic system and it works flawlessly for me. Ive bought a couple of games on it, they downloaded at 400kb/s. Then were instantly playable.

Quicker than going to a shop and cheaper with the dollar exchange rate these days.

Any initial haters been converted?

Whats your current feeling on Steam?

It's probably the biggest piece of crap ever to grace the gaming world.

I'd rather put a rampant virus on my computer than let Steam grace it.

Can you explain why you hate it so much? Its just i cant understand from my own experience how anyone can feel that much hate towards it :)

Half Life 2 was worth it for me, i dont mind steam because half life games have been the best most polished games ive ever played. i adore them :)

I suppose buying half life 2 is optional though, but if you want the experience they worked hard for, then i think Steam is a sacrifice you need to take.

So, personally i hope Valve continue to grow so we get good games and good service.
