Steam down?

I can't play MW2. Says I have to be logged in to play. Steam appears to be online for me so don't know what's going on. :confused:

They shut down the servers because of server performance problems , will also go down later aswell

As far as I'm aware it's fine now, friends have been slowly appearing.
