steam downloading game twice

Hi I bought Shadow of Mordor on steam yesterday and after leaving my comp on overnight finally got it downloaded unfortunately steam decided that it needs to do it all over again.

re downloading over 33 gigs of files my computer already has is rather annoying anything i can do to stop it.

Has it created 2 directories for the game?

It's putting it all into the steamapps/downloading folder.

i had something like this happen when i got borderlands 2 russian key it DL the game twice once was english other was a russian version
