Steam - Email Verification

Just got the 'is this still you email address' question when signing into Steam, so clicked for the email to be sent as usual, but for me on O2, when i get these email verify ones from Steam, they are blank, so what i have to do all the time is, forward them, for them to show up for me to read, then i just copy/paste the verify link into my address bar, and job done.

They must have changed it now however, as ive forwarded as usual and got the message, but the verify link hasn't shown up for me to copy/paste, so i can't do it.

Any ideas ?

I don't have a safe senders list, i don't know why they never show up from Steam, its the only ones i get that don't, all i get is who its from, to, but the message box is always blank, so i click to forward it, and that gets the message to appear, so i just copy/paste the link into my address bar, and do it that way.

Ive just found my previous one i got, which has the link, so they have changed the message, as the last one i got says i can verify my email address by clicking the following link, but now the emails say click here to verify, so the 'here' must be the link, so obviously i can't do it now.

Could i use the link from my previous one do you think, or would they change everytime ?

EDIT: Nope, just found another one, the numbers on the end of the link are different, i'll have to contact support :(

Going through the support, but never done it before, made the account, doing the message, do i have to put in my Steam Account Login Name, in the additional info box on the right ?

What are you using to read the mail?

Don't know what you mean sorry, i just login to my email account through the O2 website, and go into my inbox.

Its funny, as when i created my Support account, i got the emails for that fine, could read the messages, click the links etc..., its just the verify email ones, that i get blank

Switch it Loadsa. Steam is a PITA as it is, let alone having to struggle reading emails :D

Yeah im going to when i get it sorted :)

Had to put in my account name, wouldn't let me send the question otherwise. :p

Absolutely stupid, any other emails i get from them, show up fine, with links, like the one ive just got about were looking at your question, will reply by email, its just the verify email ones that come through blank

Welp!, i just pasted an older link ive still got from one of the verify email ones into my address bar, and activated it by mistake, came up Successful, and now when i sign into Steam, i don't get the Green bar at the top anymore, with the 'is this still your email address'. :p

Now funny thing is, i checked an even older link from a one i got before that one, and the numbers at the end of the link were different, so no doubt the ones on the latest one (which i can't do because they changed the message) are different also, so have a made a boo boo, or do you think seen as it came up successful, it would have verified it ok still ?.

Also, what about support, when they now look into it, will they know it was an older link id used, or if its fine (by saying successful still), they'll just reply with, its ok, its verified ?

I think that link i used from the previous one has sorted it, as ive been in and out of Steam loads of times now, and i havn't had the 'is this still your email address message' at all, kept coming up before, when i was out and in before id done it with the older link. :p

If you have a smart phone you can change the verification to use the a code generated within the steam app.

I've done the email verification thing 10s of times. I give up trying now, it never works for me despite clicking the links and getting a confirmation. Always comes back.

Ive never had it back since i used an older link, so ive just told them to close my ticket, and going from the thread about Steam support being terrible, that could take them months :p

Ive just realised, ive got my Sky Email, ive just never used it, as when they took me over from O2, i just carried on using that Email account, so i'll set my Sky one up, and change my Steam over to it :p

EDIT: Done :)
