Steam expired account

3 hours to dl the game vs, 16+ for delivery?

I also play other online games (MMO's, FPS to name a few) and also, if i want to play it again, it will take a few minutes to install, rather than 3 hours.

You can backup the game files to CD/DVD (or do as i do and just copy the game files into another hard drive for backups

Whenever i reinstall windows i install steam, copy accross the steamapps folder from my old install and everythings back as it was within the time it takes to copy files accross from one hard drive to another :)

mrbios..

Why not just create a 2nd partition and leave steam on there, it's portable you know :D

Saves any copy/pasting

whats that got to do with anything

As said you can make your own discs for steam games...

The actual factor of lag whilst playing other online games and family members using the internet, i also don't see why it's bothering people so much, the fact i just don't want to use Steam anymore. I'm not saying it's crap, i'm simply stating i'd rather buy a non-digital version from now on. Keeping it on over night, or when i'm not using it isn't a factor either, considering i don't pay for the electrical bill.

Edit: I'll do what you said and make my own discs with the games i've bought already on Steam, but not for any future purchases.

You spent loads of money on your rig and you can't afford an extra hard-drive?

I can afford one, i just don't need an extra hard drive, once the game is completed, it's gone. I don't see any reason to keep game information when i'm not playing the game anymore.

I refuse to believe you use a computer and all the free space you can come up with is 80gb. Don't you have other drives? Even an external one will do ;)

Might want to re-read the replies mrkebab :p I never said i didn't have any other drives

I actually have an 80GB SSD as windows/games(steam) drive, 160gb drives in RAID one for music/films/other assorted apps and a 640GB WD drive for non-essential program installs and backups

:D
