Steam favourites list

Dunno if anyone else had this or might have a suggestion. Have a couple of non-steam games which I have added to my games list in steam.

Only problem I have is Bad Company 2 keeps dropping form my favourites list and going to the "normal" list.

It's not a major thing, but it's an annoynace I would like ot fix if possible.

Are you using the new UI beta by any chance?

Favorites on that seems to be a little broken.

Yeah a load of my favourites disappeared too the other day (I'm using the beta ui). However no problem I thought. I'll just launch TF2 from the main game library list. When I booted my computer up the next day however, everything was as it used to be.

Restart Steam after changing them, happens to names of custom shortcuts as well, if you start the game straight after it un-renames it.
