Ok, I have had thhis issue before, but I have had it again and while Im sure I can resolve it, I want to know if there is a definite "THIS IS THE WAY" before I end up pulling my hair out.
Im using Linux and I have just done a fresh install on a couple of new drives, but I am wanting to put the Linux Library folder onto one drive that is seperate from my root and home.
My drives are like this :-
SD0 = root and SWAP
SD1 = /home
SD2 = /home/data
Now, I want to make an extra steam library folder on SD2, possibly as /home/data/steamlibrary or whatever?
Now, this is how I have it on the Linux PC and the Linux Desktop, and on the Desktop ( This PC ), I did it without any issues but on the Laptop I did have issues...
In truth, it took a few installs and a few reinstalls of the vale stuff in teh software manager to get it.
Where I am having the issues, is ismply when I try to add the folder, it cannot see SD2... It sees the /home and everything in there, as it should, but not the /home/data folder.
Using normal methods of simply opening it up, I can access and read and write to it. I have also changed the permissions etc so everyone has full access to it. Im just lost as to WTF I did before. I have not done that much right now, as I am hoping that there is an easy quick fix before I spend hours failing.
Thanks in advance.
