Steam game install problem

hey guys,

I have a 1tb HD that I have setup to put some games on, but soon as I try to i get this message? :

any ideas ?

hmm, thinking it might be a hard drive issue.

should i take this opportunity to remove, and upgrade to a 512gb SSD, or even a 1tb? just for the extra games?

I have EFT and CS GO on my boot drive.

I would try and work out how your getting that error unless the drive has not enough space left.

I changed the drive letter, and set to default on Steam and it worked!

Still thinking of changing out to an SSD though? what do you think?

now my brain is ticking. Will give it a mull over the weekend and see come Monday / Tuesday about ordering one.

In the grand scheme of things, £30 isn't much, and I'm sure you could recoup most of that in the MM if you wanted to.

yeah, i might just get a 512gb ssd, will give it a thought..

yeah, the only thing im thinking is that, when i installed CS GO on the HDD it was a little choppy very once in a while..but when i moved it over to the SSD it was smooth as butter..

and that cant be coincidence either i wouldn't of thought?

Perhaps it needed defragging? Though Windows has built in defragging which should automatically run...

Maybe a sign that it's on the way out?

I hope not, its a brand new HD, only thing on it at the time was CS lol! :cry:

yeah, i wondered this too. no matter, CS doesnt take up too much space, so will leave that and EFT on for now. the rest of the games in my library is not a concern, so they can go onto the hard drive, until i get that SSD!
