You can add other locations to the steam install location so adding another drive with a new letter will work.
I would try and work out how your getting that error unless the drive has not enough space left.
Faster loading times for sure but zero difference to FPS just FYI.
I have a Samsung 860 Pro 1TB for my games but next time will go 2TB as some of the games are big now and you do not want the drive nearly full for best performance.
Picking up a SATA-based SSD is one of the best, most noticeable, changes you can make to your gaming experience, especially if playing RPGs and games with large maps![]()
If you're not sold on the idea, pick up a cheap 240GB drive for ~£30 and try that out
In the grand scheme of things, £30 isn't much, and I'm sure you could recoup most of that in the MM if you wanted to.
Within a couple of years of getting my first SSD, a 120GB HyperX drive, I completely migrated to a full solid state setup
Best thing I've ever done!
Something like CS GO should run fine on an HDD.
Perhaps it needed defragging? Though Windows has built in defragging which should automatically run...
Maybe a sign that it's on the way out?
Hmm, very strange then. CS GO isn't exactly resource heavy for loading...![]()
