steam game opening and putting monitor to no signal input

hi, im new to steam, just downloaded demo of batman, opening it and it puts monitor to no signal input.

how can i fix this

ok out of range, but how the hell can i sort it.

every other game i play is fine

thorpedouk telling me Aion done it to him and then saying his mate sent him a copy of his .cfg file is useful knowledge.

but it doesnt help me at this very moment.

Or set it to windowed maybe -windowed or -sw
