Steam game question pc & Mac

hey guys, just a quick question hopefully someone will be able to answer

i bought my sister The sims 3 and various add ons a couple of months ago on her old PC

now she's got a macbook and the PC has gone, would she be able to download the sims to play on the MB or would it not work?

You need to check the store page and look for the steamplay icon (think that's what it's called), this indicates that the title is compatible with mac and PC. If so, just run steam and download as usual.

as far as im aware it works on pc and mac anyway so dont see why not

edit: didnt see the steam part of the question, i was going on retail copy
