steam games appearing on origin

Well i got BF3 today and signed into origin for the girst time in a few months to see that for some reason my command and conquer 4 game is in my library.

if i download it like it's prompting me to via origin will i lose the game on steam.

i like all my C&C games on steam in a folder and worried if i download it on origin i won't be able to play it again on steam.

can't find any info about it so hopefully one of you guys will know.

Same here Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit that i have on steam has shown up on Origin, but i have lost Need For Speed Cardon standard edition.

Separate platforms so there should be no conflict.
I can't see how having one game on one platform will result in you losing it on another, unless Origin and Steam are collaborating, which I doubt, i think.

I have a theory but it would just be confirming what all our tin-foil hat wearing conspiracy theorists were saying about them not wanting origin scanning hard drives lol

It's simply because you have registered the games. That's all. As in, you registered the game once you installed it.

Yeap you just used your origin email when you registered the games. I had a different email back in the BF2 days compared to what I have Origin setup with.
