Does anyone know if it is possible to stop Steam games appearing in the Add/Remove programs appelet used by Windows? I know that technically they are installed programs, but it is very annoying having to sift through hundreds of games if I just want to check the list to see what apps I have installed.

From a user's perspective, I'd prefer to just manage my Steam game installations via Steam, as that was the 'wrapper' that I used to download, install, launch etc those games.

Isnt there an ini file or something that can be edited. I seem to remember a similar situation where things were hidden in the add/remove programs list. By editing a file (im sure it was in notepad) you could change the text to make the entries/programs show up. By the same principle you should be able to edit that file to hide certain entries/programs, eg, your steam games.

Search google for hidden programs in add/remove programs maybe?
