Steam Grid View - Custom Icons

The latest update to Steam may have escaped a few but within the update came the ability to custom set the icon for games in Grid View. So now no more grey boxes for non steam games. Now you can add all those non steam games and set a nice icon.

Lots of different threads have popped up with pre made images for this very purpose. The following links will get you started on your hunt for what you need and I'm sure the paint shoppers amongst us could fill any u cant find.

I was pleased to see that update. It will make non-steam games and apps added to the steam launcher a lot more attractive.

Just going thru some of my games on steam, makes the non steam ones look nicer I guess

altho tbh never really used grid view before

very nice thanks i added some games. i always use grid view and i couldnt stand the look of non-steam games before.

I can't find a way to save the images from the archive as they actually appear, only lets me save as .htm which then opens up the webpage. If I have to screenshot + crop, then that site is fail, I'd rather make my own images.

There are two small icons top right corner (beneath the close X icon) that lets you download or view the image as a jpg in a new tab.

About a week ago I was looking for ways to put custom icons. It makes it look so much better. Thanks for the heads up.

I wish the custom icons would apply to list view too. Non steam games look much better now in grid view but I prefer to use list.

Ah yeah, I see now, thanks mate. It should give instructions/bigger icons for those of us who cant spot a barn in a field.

The Zip file is the contents of the archive - DL that and you have them all

A bit silly that it doesn't have an icon, and it's a VALVE game??

I've started adding my non-steam games to the grid now, I didn't want to before because I like using the grid.
