Steam Guard Verification Email

Just wondering if anyone has experience of how long it takes on average for this to send an email? Just got my pc back, setting up windows, reinstalling steam and I can't log in because I haven't gotten the verification mail yet..

was about 15minutes for me and gmail marked it as spam

Every email has been almost instant for me. Im using gmail, occasionally it gets put in the junk folder for some reason :S

When it asks you for the code it usually says "have you received it"? Try no and resend it...

I've used it 3 times, the first 2 times it arrived inside 10mins, the 3rd time after 2 hours of waiting I managed to get onto steam on my mac and disable steamguard just so I could log-in on my PC.

Instant for me everytime i needed to use it.

Instant for me today due to having to remove my raid array and reinstall steam on another hard drive.

It varies between instant and all bloody day. Had this issue on my day off after installing a new HDD and drove me mental. Sent off a ticket and promptly received the email (sods law).

Ive had the exact same problem tonight.. tried 3 times 1st one over 4 hours ago.

Any other time before today has been instant, so im assuming the summer sale is raping the servers.

I think most people are missing the point that its only having problems today..

if you haven't had to have the verification today I suggest you don't post...its useless

Still waiting for my own steam email after moving my steam folder to my new drive and it's taking forever! last night it was instant, not had one since! Waiting on a steam support response. Why oh why they don't have a live chat feature i do not know.

Usually instant, reinstalled steam yesterday as it happens and it took about 10 minutes

it's always been instant for me, the sale is slowing down everything on steam though
