Steam have the ID mega pack at £37 and its got some fantastic classics. Question is, anyone ran these on Windows 7 64Bit?

I noticed that doom 3 is listed in the package, yet it says no Windows 7? Really, I can't run Doom 3 on Windows 7 64Bit?

Bit of a shame. I was looking to buy this package as I've now got a laptop (Dell Studio 1749 - ATI 5650 1GB) and these games would be perfect for it. Give me something to play when I'm out and about with it..

Loved Doom and Quake I & II. Anyone had success with these games using modern hardware on Windows 7 ?

Doom 3 worked for me on windows 7 64-bit, no problems.

Doom 1 had the colours problem but i believe there's a fix for it, and Doom 2 ran no problem

Havent tried Quake 1/2 on windows 7 yet.

Doom 3 works, but has no widescreen - you need to use a fix from WSGF.
Q3 has crazy artifacting, as it really doesn't like the Steam overlay - which is a shame, Q3 would have been awesome with Steam Community intergation :)

Q1 - Ok
Q2 - Ok
Q3 - Ok
Doom/Doom II - Ok
Doom III - Ok
On Win 7 64-bit with a 8800GTS 640mb

What gfx card are you using uv?

edit: made it look better.

Why have no windows 7 support when it appears Doom 3 does work? Crazy, oh well I'll perhaps just pick it up and hope for the best...

I'm mostly interested in Quake I & II and Doom 3 as they are fantastic games.. Thanks all

They say no support for Windows 7, not that it doesn't run on Windows 7. It means if you have a problem running the game on an unsupported OS, then they won't help.

But since most publisher support for most games is rubbish, then its no great loss. Forums are always more likely to help solve a problem than a publisher support page.
