Steam install v game repository

Guys,
quick one. Just reformatted my pc.
500gb M.2 SSD (OS)
1TB SSD (games)

Do i install Steam to OS and then point downloads to Games SSD or what?
Can't remember what i did last time. :rolleyes:

it make no difference.
i have the same sort of set up but only 128gb SSD and i moved steam and origin to the HDD to save room on the SSD and found no difference in game performance as the game loads from a slower drive ever way.
As you have a lot of room i would put the main programs on the SSD and point to the HDD for download this way the HDD should turn off when not in use

Yeah the SM951 is well over twice the speed of the 850 pro, but obviously half the capacity.
Maybe put bigger games on SM951 for map loads etc?

You can add library folders to steam now so that you can choose where you install your games.
