Steam - installation issue

The first game I bought from Steam is the "Orange Box". It wasn't my intention to get the game suite I only wanted Team Fortress II actually but because it wasn't on the shelf, so I had to buy the box.

The trouble is every time I reinstall windows, I have to wait to install it from online connection which varies from time to time. It took me 45 minutes to complete just Team Fortress II alone. Is it possible to obtain the download as one executable so that I can keep in on a disc and use it for reinstallation in the future?

Right-click on the game in Steam and click 'backup game content'.

You can save it wherever you want and restore in minutes.

Go into Steam, to the 'My Games' tab, and right click on the game you wish to back up. Then hit 'backup game content' and follow the steps of the wizard.
