Steam is being annoying...

Bit of help required.

Steam is blocked at Uni and so it doesn't update etc as it can't connect. I have brought my laptop home now and clicked Steam. It starts to update, stops at 26% and claims Steam is already running. I rebooted thinking it had crashed, tried the same thing again..no difference. Any ideas?

Nothing in Task Manager relating to Steam either.

uninstall and reinstall

Had same problems, but at 19%

uninstal and reinstal fixed it. Dont worry, all your game data stays there.

That was my first thought but i was worried about the game data.

i had the same problem, just kept trying and eventually it went through fine

When you say you kept trying - you mean just constantly double clicking the icon again and again?

Edit: Fixed now, thanks again...and it's downloading CSS again?
