***Steam Issue/format/games list gone****

Hi Guys

Ive searched through thread after thread but i cant find a solution to my problem so i thought id post up a thread.

Now my problem is that i have to format my PC unexpectedly and couldnt back anything up whats so ever, so Ive reinstalled steam after my format and logged in with my correct steam details,
All my friends have gone and my games library is blank and wont let me re-download any of the games Ive bought in the past 5 years, Do i have to purchase all these games again? or am i missing a trick,

When i log into the steam app on my Iphone all my friends are on that list but not on the PC but my main concern is the games that ive potentially lost.

Have any of you guys had this problem before?

Uninstall steam, reinstall it somewhere else. Give it admin privileges

Would this be a steam issue?

Try simply deleting client.blob first.

their is no exsisting data as ive formatted my HDD with no back up,
im wanting to redownload all my games from steam again but steam says i have no purchased games on my account,

There should be a drop down arrow somewhere on your library screen labeled something like "Installed", change this to all games.

If you're not seeing your friends and games then you've most likely signed into a duplicate account, you're normal account is still out there somewhere.

Yeah I would double check the username on your iphone and make sure it matches that on your PC.

Steam was down earlier, it could just be a problem with that.
