Afternoon chaps,

So I jumped on the Skyrim bandwagon about a month ago and 50 hours of game play later I am somewhat addicted to slaying dragons and alchemy.

However, steam is buggering up my enjoyability factor.

Every now and then, but in every gaming session, steam kind of minimizes the game and its a pain to get it back up into full screen. I kind of have to ctrl-alt-del it go into task manager right click and maximise the screen again to get back to the game.

Has anyone else experience this or does anyone know a solution for me to sort this out?

Thanks for the input ladies and gents.

I don't have a solution, but you do have to alt-tab back to the game twice for it to work. If nothing else this will save time going in to task manager. Hope you get it sorted, Skyrim has enough issues without something annoying like that happening.

You could try using this - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/4. Again this is not solving the problem, but might work around it.

Are you using Xfire?

I know that the Xfire in game overlay causes problems with Skrim, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas.

If you are, manually disable Xfire in game from tool/options/games.

If not try disabling Steams in game overlay and see how you go.

Pig - cheers for the tip, will try that.

Barmy - altought I have xfire installed I don't really use it and haven't since the good old ET days really.

The thing which bugs me most about it is that when I'm out of the game and go back in I then have the in-game cursor on the screen as well as the windows one. And both of them move about simultaneously with the mouse movement albeit about 3 inches away from one another. Pee's me off so much I force myself to save the game, exit and restart. Otherwise I could probably tolerate the in and out of the desktop antics once an hour.

For duplicate cursors press Esc to bring up the menu usually fixes that.
